Mums the word
Battersea mum-of-three Cheryl Harper has become one of the faces of National Yummy Mummy Week, a fundraising event designed to raise money for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent. Joining seven other ‘real mums’ and one mum-to-be, she is fronting the campaign to help raise awareness and encourage other mothers to get involved by holding coffee mornings, pampering parties and sponsored events to support the charity. www.cliclsargent.org.uk/yummymummy

Classic FM presenter Katie Derham popped into Leonard Cheshire’s Randall Close Resource Centre in Battersea to take part in a musical workshop, where members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra worked alongside people with disabilities to compose an original piece of music. Those who took part in the workshop will be performing their composition at the Royal Albert Hall Gallery in December.
